Stake, validate, and earn without surrendering your keys
Run validator nodes and staking nodes with institutional uptime guarantees and built-in slashing protection. Strictly non-custodial. Instanodes never holds, generates, or has access to your validator keys, withdrawal keys, or wallet keys at any layer.
Six layers between your stake and a slashable event.
Slashing is the only operational risk in staking that destroys principal. Every layer below exists to make it impossible, not unlikely.
01
Customer-held signing boundary
Signing keys live inside your HSM or remote signer. Never on our infrastructure. Our beacon node sends signing requests; your signer authorises them. We have no read access, no export path, no recovery role.
Web3Signer · Dirk · Customer HSM (FIPS 140-2 L3)
02
Slashing-protection DB
Every attestation and proposal is recorded in a persistent, replicated database before the signature is released. A double-sign attempt is rejected at the signer.
EIP-3076 format · Postgres replicas
03
Remote-signer model
Beacon node and signer run as separate processes on separate machines. Compromising the consensus client cannot compromise the keys.
Web3signer · Dirk · Signer pubsub gap
04
Doppelgänger detection
Before any validator activates after restart, it watches the network for evidence its own key is already active. If a duplicate is detected, the validator refuses to sign.
3-epoch listen window before activation
05
Failover safety lock
Hot/cold failover uses a single-source lock. The backup signer cannot activate until the primary's lock entry expires. No two signers ever active simultaneously.
etcd lease · 4-min TTL
06
Distributed validator (DVT)
On supported chains, signing duties are split across 4 operators with a 3-of-4 threshold. Any single node loss is non-fatal; any single node compromise cannot sign alone.

slashing events
Across every validator Instanodes has operated, on every chain we operate on, since 2022. We carry contractual operational liability for slashing caused by our infrastructure. Including double-sign, surround-vote, and downtime above SLA.
Non-custodial · zero key access
Your keys never leave you. Instanodes never holds them.
Strictly non-custodial across every key in the validator stack: signing, withdrawal, fee-recipient, and any associated wallet keys. We do not generate, hold, store, escrow, export, or have read access to your private key material at any layer. Signing happens against your remote signer or your HSM under policy you control.
You hold (every key)
Validator (BLS) signing key
Lives in your HSM or remote signer. Never on our infrastructure
Withdrawal key
Authorises principal + reward withdrawal
Fee-recipient address
Receives MEV + tips on every block proposal
Governance key
Voting authority on protocol upgrades
Your custodian, your hardware wallet, or your multi-sig. Instanodes never touches these keys.

Beacon + validator client
Sends signing requests to your signer; receives signatures back
MEV-Boost relay set
Picked by you; switchable any time
Slashing-protection DB
Per-validator, replicated, exportable. Operates without holding keys
Monitoring + on-call
24/7 observability, incident response, upgrades
We run beacon + validator clients and forward signing requests to your signer. No private key material is generated, stored, or accessible on our infrastructure. Move providers any time without a redeposit.
Non-custodial guarantee
Instanodes does not take custody of your validator keys, withdrawal keys, or wallet keys in any way.
✓We never generate your keys.
✓We never receive, store, or escrow key material.
✓We never have read access via support, recovery, or backup channels.
✓Signing happens at your signer, under your policy, on your hardware.
✓You can revoke our beacon node's signing-request access at any moment.
✓Contractually written into every Master Services Agreement.

Each chain has its own consensus quirks, unbonding schedule, and slashing economics. We tune the signing stack and the reward strategy per chain. Not a one-size-fits-all template.

What's included
Built for institutional staking
One-click PoS deployment
Launch validators on Ethereum, Solana, Polkadot, Cosmos, and other PoS networks in minutes.
Automated monitoring
Live performance data, reward tracking, and instant alerts for downtime or missed attestations.
High-availability architecture
Built-in failover, geographic distribution, and load balancing for zero-downtime validator operations.
Slashing protection
EIP-3076 slashing-protection DB, doppelgänger detection, and failover safety locks. Signing requests are gated by your customer-held signer. Instanodes never touches key material.
Non-custodial by contract
Instanodes never holds, generates, or has access to your validator keys, withdrawal keys, or wallet keys. Signing happens on your HSM or remote signer. Written into every MSA.
L1, L2 & appchain support
One platform for validators on Layer 1s, L2 rollups, and custom appchains. Unified dashboard.
Reward optimization
High uptime and active block participation maximize staking rewards across every supported chain.
How it works
From signup to live RPC
01
Choose a network
Ethereum, Cosmos, Polkadot, Avalanche, Polygon, Celo, and other PoS networks. Mainnet or testnet.
02
Generate keys on your side
You generate every key (validator signing, withdrawal, fee-recipient) on your own HSM, hardware wallet, or remote signer. Instanodes never sees, stores, or has access to private key material at any point.
03
Configure monitoring
Slashing detection, missed-attestation alerts, double-sign protection. Dashboards for rewards, performance, and inclusion distance.
04
Start staking
Bond your stake; we run the validator. 24/7 incident response, automatic upgrades, and quarterly performance reviews.
Use cases
Built for every Web3 workload
Institutions
Institutional staking
Compliance-friendly validator node operations with audit-ready reporting and custodian integrations. Keys remain entirely under your custodian's control. Instanodes never holds them.
Treasuries
DAO and treasury staking
Multi-sig-gated staking operations with on-chain governance hooks. Earn yield on idle treasury without giving up custody.
Protocols
Protocol-owned validators
Run validators for your own protocol's PoS chain. Slashing protection, distributed key generation, and DVT support where available.
Funds
Funds and asset managers
Non-custodial staking infrastructure with quarterly attestation reports and integration with leading qualified custodians.
Enterprises
Corporate treasury staking
SOC 2 Type II infrastructure, isolated tenant environments, and tax-ready reward reporting for finance teams.
Solo stakers
Power-user staking
Professional-grade infrastructure without the hardware. Solo-staker-style economics without the home-lab maintenance.
